CEO Cultural Values and Environmental Performance: The Role of Heritage and Long-Term Orientation (Partner event)
The Elverding Chair is pleased to announce the launch of its Seminar Series. Held on a quarterly basis, the seminar series aims to foster dialogue between academics, business professionals, policymakers, and other stakeholders on current issues at the intersection of sustainable business, organizational culture, and corporate regulation.
The series provides a platform for the exchange of research, insights, and practical experiences, promoting interdisciplinary discussions on the opportunities and challenges associated with sustainable and responsible business practices.
The first seminar will feature a presentation by Dr. Frederique Bouwman, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Elverding Chair, entitled CEO Cultural Values and Environmental Performance: The Role of Heritage and Long-Term Orientation. The seminar will take place on Thursday the 11th of June at 18:00 at SBE TS53 H0.06.
In this study, Frederique examines how CEOs' cultural values influence corporate environmental performance through the mechanism of long-term orientation. By investigating the role of cultural heritage in shaping executive decision making, the research contributes to a growing body of literature on the determinants of corporate sustainability. The study offers new insights into how cultural values shape complex corporate decisions in contexts where environmental and economic objectives must be carefully balanced.
Through this seminar series, the Elverding Chair seeks to stimulate meaningful exchanges between research and practice and to contribute to ongoing discussions on advancing sustainable business.
